Your new eyebrows go through several phases during their healing cycle. True reflection of healed color can only be assessed 3-4 weeks after your first session.
Immediately after the microblading procedure the pigment will appear very sharp and dark. This is beacuse skin has not set the pigment fully. The color of pigment will soften gradually. Don't be alarmed if some color comes off with aquafor or on your cotton pad. Completely normal!
Once your skin starts healing you will notice some dry patches or maybe some flaking. This is just your natural process of exfoliation.
Your brows will be the lightest shades between day 5-12 because the color is absorbed into the deeper layers of the epidermis. Later, skin cells push it back to the upper layer and once healing is completed...viola! Revealed are a pair of beautiful, new, natural looking eyebrows!
After months of testing different healing methods I’ve found that keeping the brows completely dry let’s them heal quicker and with better results.
Refrain from using aquafor or getting the brows moist at all. Let the body naturally heal. This is crucial for healing and letting the ink set properly.
Keep your face out of direct water contact. Do not rinse face under jet stream of the shower head. Instead use a washcloth to wash around the eyebrow area and pat dry with paper towel. Do so for the next 7 to 10 days.
Do not apply makeup, or moisturizers directly to brow area for the first 10 days.
This is crucial to healing. You do not want to introduce any bacteria to your fresh new brows.
No heavy exercise and excess sweat. This can push out ink.
After these 10 days you may wash your face with a mild cleanser and introduce your skin with a gentle moisturizer.
Use of retinols, AHA's, anti-aging skin care, glycolics, chemical peels and laser treatments should be kept off of the tattooed area.
Inform any laser technician of your procedure because lasers can change color of tattoo, may lighten or even darken.
Do not bleach, tint or dye brows for at least 30 days after any procedure (initial or touchup).
